Cookie policy
This policy explains what cookies rushmuseum.art uses, what they do, and how you can control them.
It complements our Privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and between visits: what is in your cart, whether you are signed in, which language you chose.
Some are set by us and by the platform that runs this store. Others are set by third parties whose services appear on our pages.
2. When we ask for your consent
Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work do not require your consent, and we set them whether or not you interact with our banner.
Everything else requires your consent before it is set. We ask for it through the banner that appears on your first visit. You can accept all, decline all, or choose category by category, and declining is exactly as easy as accepting.
If you decline, nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set. The store works normally.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the store functioning. Without them you could not add items to your cart, complete a purchase, or stay signed in.
| Cookie | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|
cart, cart_ts, cart_sig, cart_ver
|

The consent cookies are worth noting: we need to store your decision in order to respect it, which is why they sit in this category even though they relate to consent itself.
4. Analytics cookies
These require your consent. They tell us how many people visit the store, which pages they read, and where they arrived from. We use this to decide what to publish and how to organise the site. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
| Cookie | What it does | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_shopify_y, _y

These are first-party cookies belonging to the store platform. They are not shared with advertising networks.
5. Newsletter sign-up
Our newsletter sign-up form is provided by our email marketing provider. If you interact with it, that provider may set cookies of its own.
6. What we do not do
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not run advertising pixels from social networks or ad platforms. We do not sell or share your browsing data with advertisers, and we do not build profiles of you for advertising purposes.
7. Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the foot of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately.
You can also delete cookies or block them entirely through your browser settings. Bear in mind that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working. Browser settings are not a substitute for the choices you make in our banner: they are an additional control you have over your own device.
8. How long your choice lasts
We will ask you again after twelve months, or sooner if we introduce cookies that serve a materially different purpose from the ones you agreed to.
9. Changes to this policy
Cookies change as the tools behind a website change. We review this policy periodically and the date below tells you when we last did.
